Flea and Tick Control Outdoors

As a dog lover, most of you have had do deal with fleas and ticks at one time or another. The area of concern in most cases is the area of your property where your pet roams. In my case its the backyard. It is completely fenced in so our Siberian Husky female can run her legs off if she wants. I'm talking about an area of 50" X 75". This is also the area of concern for our "little friends". Most of the products designed for killing fleas and ticks are also harmful to the animals. Same thing for products designed to prevent weeds and insects that kill the grass. What to do?!!!

A friend of mine and I were talking about this problem one day at work, and he asked me if I ever heard of beneficial nematodes. Of course I looked at him like he was crazy and said "you feel ok". He said yes and repeated his statement. Now he got my attention. I said what are beneficial nematoads and what do they have to do with fleas? He said he didn't know but that they worked.

I did some research and found that these creatures are tiny larva worms that imbed themselves in the host, in this case, flea, and ingest them. Sounds gross but if it works on the problem and is not harmful to anything but the host, who cares. They also multiply very rapidly. A nice added benefit. I tried a small container of these nematodes to see if they did what they say they do. Well, to my surprise, they not only lived up to my expectations, they exceeded them. Case in point. Last year, we fed Aja outside. Naturally, her bowl was full of flies and other insects feeding on her food. This year, when we put the food out the insect level has dropped off tremendously. Also, we like to sit in the yard after dinner, sipping coffee or other beverage, but last year that was impossible because of the mosquitoes. This year, we aren't bothered by the pests. Further research showed me and added benefit of the nematodes is that they also eat mosquitoes and their eggs.

If you would like to find out on where to get these wonderful creatures visit my website http://alldogproduct.com.
